Crying obsidian can be harvested only with a diamond or netherite pickaxe. when the speedrunning the game i came upon a ruined portal i quickly dashed over to look inside the the chest but to my surprise there wasnt a chest besides the ruined portal i then decided to further investigate the seed in creative mode and i came to the conclusion that there was none. In case you're exposed to lava, the water will stop you from burning and turn the lava into stone or obsidian. I think it would be cool, add a little mystery to the game. A nether portal is a manufactured structure that acts as a gateway between the Overworld and the Nether dimensions.
