I was able to skip cutscenes, then within the last few days, either my escape key isn't working correct (unlikely as it is a relatively new keyboard) or there is something wrong with game or game settings. Leveling to max level takes a little less as their is story during each expansion's level cap and you * cannot skip any expansions you must play all of them in a linear order.
